Client
Oiltanking MOGS Saldanha, comprising Oiltanking Grindrod Calulo Holdings (OTGC), a subsidiary of Germany’s Oiltanking group, and Mining, Oil & Gas Services (MOGS).

MOGS and OTGC will each have a 50% shareholding in the company.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 13.2-million-barrel commercial crude oil storage and blending terminal.

The terminal will comprise twelve 1.1-million-barrel concrete tanks.

The new crude oil terminal will be a state-of-the-art facility, in accordance with the highest technical, operational and environmental standards.

The jetty at the new terminal will be designed for handling vessels of up to very large crude carrier size.

Value
$400-million.

Duration
Construction of the facility will start at the end of the first quarter in 2014.

Latest Developments
MOGS initiated the project in 2011 and has since completed the prefeasibility studies and design of the facility. It is in the final stages of obtaining the required statutory approvals.
